Into the Wasp Nest
A downloadable game
I remember that internet meme that came out a few years ago. Oprah would stand in front of her studio audience and wave her arms as a box was opened behind her. In real life, it was probably a car or something. But someone made it look like she released bees into her audience. Bees. Hundreds - no, thousands of them. Swarming. Stinging. Attacking. And in the middle of it all was Oprah, her arms held up high over her head as she screamed “Beeees!”
The world is a lot like that now. Well, Oprah is probably no longer around but there sure the hell are a lot of bees. Or wasps? Hornets? Whatever they are, they’re giant, murderous, and they are everywhere.
And I thought murder hornets were the least scariest thing about 2020.
Into the Wasp Nest is a scenario where Flight of the Bum-blebee is no longer just an amusing song. From the clouds, a cacophony of buzzing is heard before the world is descended upon by a massive swarm of giant bees - bees that haven’t been seen since the dawn of the dino-saurs. These insects have returned from their long slum-ber and have begun consuming everything and anything in their path.
Into the Wasp nest is an original fan scenario created by William Coffing for The End of the World RPG, published by Fantasy Flight Games.
